Senior Manager, Technology Program Management

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Manager, Technology Program Management to join the team of a leader in the Aerospace & Defense space.

This leader will oversee complex technology programs supporting public sector customers, with an emphasis on disciplined execution, customer satisfaction, and contractual compliance. The role partners closely with technical teams and senior stakeholders to keep delivery on track while supporting account growth and expansion opportunities. Success in this position will require strong governance, financial discipline, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a highly collaborative environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $135,000 – $216,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple IT programs for state government customers in New England
• Ensure timely and budget-compliant program delivery while meeting contractual commitments
• Establish program governance, including schedules, risks, and performance reporting
• Provide leadership to program managers and technical teams
• Identify delivery risks and create mitigation plans
• Maintain strong delivery discipline tailored to customer environments
• Proactively manage customer relationships and address concerns before escalation

Qualifications

• 12+ years of IT experience, particularly in software development and IT support programs
• Proven success in delivering complex IT programs
• Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Experience managing technical teams and collaborating with various technical roles
• Excellent customer relationship management skills with senior stakeholders
• Ability to develop Statements of Work, estimates, and staffing plans
• Strong financial management skills related to program and account performance
