Opportunity Overview

The Senior Manager, Interconnection & Grid Analytics will lead the project management and technical execution of all interconnection activities across GSP’s utility-scale BESS, solar, and powered land portfolio.

Reporting directly to the Head of Transmission & Interconnection, this role will own the day-to-day

execution of interconnection activities across multiple RTO/ISO markets—while also building the

internal analytical processes that strengthen development decisions. This role is designed for a

candidate who combines project management discipline with power system modeling experience

Key Roles and Responsibilities

• Work with project developers to manage all interconnection filings, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
• Track key milestones, timelines, payments, and at-risk capital across the portfolio.
• Provide consistent reporting on status, financial exposure, and decision points to leadership.
• Conduct power flow modeling, congestion studies and deliverability analyses for standalone and hybrid BESS projects before filing application and at critical decision points.
• Forecast upgrade costs and model various interconnection scenarios to guide project positioning and development decisions.
• Diagnose interconnection study results to identify optimizations, risks, and mitigation strategies.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for external consultants performing interconnection studies
• Ensure quality control, technical accuracy, and cost efficiency of all consultant deliverables.
• Collaborate with project developers to align technical results with site selection and project economics.
• Develop tools and templates to streamline technical analysis, queue tracking, and reporting.
• Build repeatable, scalable processes to increase efficiency and transparency

Desired Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in utility-scale transmission planning, interconnection, or related engineering/project management roles.
• Proficiency with power flow modeling tools such as PSS®E or PowerWorld.
• Strong experience with utility-scale ISO/RTO interconnection studies, ideally in NYISO, ISO-NE, PJM, SPP or ERCOT.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate across cross-functional teams.
• BS in Electrical Engineering required, MS preferred.

Location

GSP is headquartered in Portsmouth, NH, but this position may be fully remote.
