Senior Manager – Warehouse & Logistics Operations

About the Role

The Senior Manager – Warehouse & Logistics Operations will be responsible for managing end-to-end warehouse and logistics execution across multiple locations. The role will ensure operational readiness, quality compliance, timely dispatches, infrastructure availability, manpower deployment, and consistent execution across all sites.

This is a hands-on, execution-focused leadership role requiring strong experience in warehouse, logistics, cold chain, or distribution operations. The position will work closely with planning and program teams to ensure that operational plans are effectively implemented on the ground.

Key Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day warehouse and logistics operations across multiple locations.
• Ensure timely availability, handling, storage, and dispatch of inventory/materials as per operational requirements.
• Maintain quality, temperature, cleanliness, and safety standards across warehouse operations, wherever applicable.
• Ensure on-time dispatch and delivery to customers, distribution points, and operational locations.
• Ensure warehouse infrastructure readiness, including power, manpower, equipment, storage capacity, and material-handling resources.
• Manage the availability, performance, and service levels of 3PL, transport, and logistics partners.
• Monitor operational performance of regional, city, and site teams and drive continuous improvement.
• Develop, implement, and standardize SOPs and operational processes across locations.
• Ensure adherence to safety, quality, compliance, and operational standards.
• Act as the first escalation point for operational issues such as equipment breakdowns, manpower shortages, delivery delays, quality issues, and infrastructure challenges.
• Coordinate with planning, supply chain, inventory, procurement, and other cross-functional teams to ensure smooth execution.
• Track operational KPIs and identify gaps, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Drive operational discipline, productivity, cost optimization, and service-level adherence across all locations.
• Lead and mentor warehouse and logistics teams to achieve business and operational objectives.
• Prepare regular operational reports and provide updates on performance, challenges, and corrective actions to senior management.
• Travel extensively across locations as required to monitor operations and resolve execution-related challenges.

Requirements

• 8–10 years of experience in warehouse, logistics, supply chain, cold chain, distribution, or related operations.
• Proven experience managing a team of 10+ employees directly.
• Experience managing multi-site, multi-city, regional, or pan-India operations.
• Strong hands-on experience in warehouse and logistics execution.
• Experience managing 3PL, transport, and external operational partners.
• Strong understanding of warehouse processes, inventory movement, dispatch, transportation, and operational controls.
• Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve operational issues quickly and effectively.
• Strong leadership, team-management, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, execution-driven environment.
• Willingness to travel extensively as required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on operational efficiency and continuous improvement.
