Senior Manufacturing Engineer

About the role

The Senior Manufacturing Engineer reports to the Administrator, Givi Asia. This role is being developed to succeed the Senior Operations Manager, who will act as direct consultant and guide the handover of responsibilities. We are looking for a mature, experienced production professional who is ready to take on full operational responsibility over time.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the transfer of new products from R&D (Italy) into mass production, covering industrialisation plans, pilot runs, process validation and production sign-off.
• Own capacity, scheduling, material readiness and delivery commitments.
• Manage line setup, process parameters, changeovers, troubleshooting and equipment readiness.
• Act as technical lead for mould trials, design-for-manufacture input, mould maintenance and toolmaker coordination.
• Plan and arrange shift allocation, line balancing, training and supervision of team leaders.
• Drive improvements in output, quality and cost.
• Work with Quality, Maintenance, Purchasing and suppliers, and ensure compliance with safety, quality and regulatory standards.

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 10 years' working experience in production, including 3–5 years in a senior or supervisory role, preferably in automotive or motorcycle manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience with plastic injection moulding and metal parts manufacturing (required).
• Proven experience in production planning and production manpower management.
• Working knowledge of lean manufacturing or Six Sigma; CAD/CAM proficiency is an advantage.
• Mature, steady approach to problem-solving under pressure, with the ability to lead teams and manage escalations.
• English and Bahasa Malaysia, other language is an added advantage.
