The Company
Our client is a national retail brand, headquartered in an accessible location on Auckland’s North Shore. Following a transition to a new ERP and continued focus on data governance, they’re looking for a Senior Master Data Specialist to provide hands-on delivery across supplier, product, pricing and master data, while also helping coordinate BAU priorities and acting as an escalation point for complex issues.

This is a role for someone who is highly analytical, thrives on problem-solving, and takes real pride in clean, reliable master data.

Key responsibilities
In this role, you will:

• Maintain product, supplier and pricing master data
• Coordinate day-to-day Data Team workload (no direct reports)
• Investigate and resolve data issues, identifying root causes
• Maintain data standards, business rules and documentation
• Partner with stakeholders and suppliers to ensure data accuracy
• Review and validate product and pricing changes
• Manage and prioritise MDM tickets and system enhancements
• Support testing and continuous improvement initiatives

About you
You'll bring experience across some of the following:

• 3+ years' experience in product, supplier, pricing or master data
• Experience in retail, FMCG, manufacturing or distribution environments
• Knowledge of master data management and data governance
• Experience with ERP systems
• Strong Excel skills and experience working with large datasets
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
• A continuous improvement mindset with strong attention to detail
