SENIOR MATERIALS PLANNER | AIKEN, SC

Are you a Materials Planner who knows how to keep production moving?

We are seeking a Senior Materials Planner for an onsite manufacturing opportunity in Aiken, SC . This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on planner who enjoys digging into MRP requirements, solving material shortages, working with suppliers, and helping production stay on schedule.

Planning is the priority. Purchasing experience is a plus.

WHY THIS ROLE?

You won't simply be pushing purchase orders or maintaining spreadsheets. You'll be at the center of the operation, connecting MRP, materials, suppliers, purchasing, inventory, and production to identify problems and develop solutions.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Own materials planning and MRP requirements supporting the Master Production Schedule
• Develop and maintain production plans and release production orders
• Monitor material availability, inventory, lead times, backorders, and potential shortages
• Identify root causes behind material shortages, supplier delays, and delivery problems
• Partner with Purchasing and suppliers to expedite materials and improve deliverability
• Communicate shortages, delivery risks, and production impacts to internal teams
• Use planning and purchasing data to identify opportunities for improved performance
• Maintain accurate SAP/ERP planning and purchasing information
• Resolve PO, vendor, and material discrepancies
• Support supplier quality issues and non-conforming material resolution
• Identify opportunities to improve material availability, planning processes, quality, and cost

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• 2+ years of materials planning, MRP, production planning, or related manufacturing experience
• Strong understanding of MRP, material requirements, production schedules, lead times, and deliverability
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent organization and attention to detail
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Microsoft Excel and Word proficiency
• SAP experience preferred
• APICS certification preferred, not required
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Operations, or related field preferred
• Significant relevant experience may substitute for a degree
• Recent Supply Chain graduates with relevant internship, co-op, or planning experience may be considered

OVERTIME & WORK ENVIRONMENT

This is an onsite position in Aiken, SC .

The position is overtime eligible at 1.5× the regular rate for hours worked over 40 per week , and some overtime will be required.
