Red Hat Funding is a commercial funding company specializing in merchant cash advances and alternative business financing. We move fast, fund fast, and we’re looking for an underwriter who can keep pace.

The Role

We need an experienced MCA underwriter who can hit the ground running — no training wheels. We’re specifically looking for someone currently underwriting at an active MCA funding shop — this is a lateral move for the right person, not a career restart. You’ll be evaluating merchant cash advance applications, assessing risk, structuring deals, and making funding decisions that directly impact our bottom line. This isn’t a “learn on the job” position — we’re hiring immediately for someone who already knows this business inside and out.

What You’ll Do

∙ Underwrite MCA deals from submission to funding decision

∙ Analyze bank statements, cash flow, and credit risk to determine deal structure and terms

∙ Price deals and set advance amounts, factor rates, and payback terms

∙ Spot red flags — stacking, fraud, inflated revenue — before they become our problem

∙ Work directly with brokers and ISOs to get deals across the finish line

∙ Make fast, sound decisions in a high-volume environment

What You Need

∙ Currently employed at an active MCA funding company — we’re looking for someone working in the space right now, not someone with past MCA experience looking to re-enter

∙ Proven MCA underwriting experience — this is non-negotiable

∙ Deep understanding of MCA deal structures, factor rates, and risk assessment

∙ Ability to read and analyze business bank statements quickly and accurately

∙ Strong judgment under pressure — you’ll be making real money decisions daily

∙ Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-volume funding environment
