Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fields
• Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical design
• Proficient in SolidWorks (Catia and Siemens NX are a plus)
• Experience with PDM/PLM systems and change management processes
• Strong knowledge of plastic injection, injection molds, and sheet metal forming
• Experience in thermal design and thermal management of electronic enclosures; knowledge of CFD/thermal simulation tools is a plus.
• Good understanding of GD&T, metrology inspection methods, and RPS points
• Experience in exterior electronic enclosure design
• Advanced level of English
• Strong communication, coordination, and time management skills
• Experience working in cross-functional projects and FMEA teams
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills
• Willing to travel when required

Job Description

• Perform 3D mechanical design and prepare 2D drawings in accordance with DFM/DFA principles
• Create and manage product BOMs and coordinate ERP integration
• Lead and coordinate design activities throughout the product development lifecycle
• Track project timelines and manage supplier deliverables according to the Gantt plan
• Conduct design reviews and ensure compliance with technical specifications and standards
• Perform or support thermal analysis and thermal validation activities to ensure reliable product operation under specified environmental conditions.
• Prepare and participate in design verification and validation tests
• Provide technical leadership in new product development and commissioning projects
• Coordinate closely with suppliers and manufacturing partners
• Support production teams in continuous improvement and efficiency initiatives
• Drive design simplification and lean-oriented improvement activities
