Senior Mechanical Design Engineer (Robotics system)

Key Responsibilities

1. Mechanical Design & Documentation

• Design automated machine modules and mechanical components based on customer requirements and relevant automation industry standards.
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs) for mechanical fabrication parts and standard electro-pneumatic components.
• Develop and maintain production procedures, operating instructions, and process control documentation.
• Maintain proper filing, documentation, and traceability of engineering records.

2. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Problem Solving

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and relevant departments to resolve design-related issues and implement effective corrective actions.
• Identify potential design and manufacturing issues and recommend improvements to prevent recurrence.
• Perform other design and engineering-related responsibilities as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Skills & Competencies

• Proficient in SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, SEMI standards, and other relevant industrial and manufacturing standards.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Result-oriented, adaptable, and willing to learn new technologies and processes.
• Able to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional engineering environment.

Experience & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electromechanical Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in machinery, automation, semiconductor, or related manufacturing industries preferred.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Proficient in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Chinese for effective communication with international teams, customers, and business partners.
