Senior Mechanical Design-Stress Analysis Engineer

About the role:

FARAD is looking for a motivated, high energy, well-organized, collaborative Mechanical Engineer to provide Design Engineering support for FARAD’s product line (Heat Exchangers – Pressure Vessels) in order to ensure the existing and newly developed products’ functionality.

Responsibilities:

NOTE: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Employee may perform other related duties as negotiated to meet the ongoing needs of the organization. The essentials of the position include, but are not limited to, the following duties:

§ Contribute to several Mechanical Design Calculations or Stress Analysis focused projects and assist in key product’s certification procedures.

§ Lead product development on several development projects, working as member of the technical department team.

§ Provide support to design teams to ensure proper application of new Mechanical Design technologies throughout the product development cycle.

§ Support pre-sales activities as needed.

Requirements

• 1.      A degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 2.    Ability to demonstrate at least three years of experience as Mechanical Design Engineer or as a Stress Analysis Engineer, in the development of Pressure Vessel products in various projects.
• 3.      Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, detail-oriented and innovative thinking mindset.
• 4.      Fluency in written and spoken English.
• 5.    Ability to work diligently and efficiently under pressure, independently and with limited supervision or guidance.
• 6.      Strong work ethics and ambition to grow with company.

Nice to have

1.      Expert knowledge for Mechanical Design and Stress Analysis technologies.

2.      Experience working with Pressure Vessel codes /rules such as (EN-13445, ASME BPVC, etc).

3.      PhD / Msc or research experience in a related subject and in close cooperation with industrial sector.

4.      Experience with PV-Elite or/and Sant Ambrogio (NextGen) pressure vessel design programs.

5.      Experience with CAD/CAE, FEM / FEA programs.
