Senior Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities:

1. Own end-to-end mechanical structural design across NEV, IDC, and cold chain product lines — from system architecture and concept definition through to mass production handoff.

2. Lead system-level requirements analysis; define structural design strategies for complex, multi-domain products; drive component selection, calculations, and design validation for critical mechanical and transmission elements.

3. Develop and review complete engineering deliverables (3D models, 2D drawings, BOM); set design standards and review junior engineers' outputs.

4. Identify and resolve high-complexity structural challenges in thermal management, NVH, and reliability; act as the technical escalation point within the team.

5. Own product design quality, schedule, and cost; proactively manage risks and trade-offs across DFM, reliability, and performance requirements.

6. Lead prototype builds, validation campaigns, and design iterations through to product sign-off; define test plans and acceptance criteria.

7. Serve as a key technical contributor in cross-functional projects; collaborate with electrical, thermal, and manufacturing teams and influence upstream design decisions.

8. Mentor and coach junior and mid-level engineers; contribute to team capability building and knowledge sharing.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Design & Manufacturing, Fluid Machinery, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.

2. 3+ years of mechanical structural design experience with a proven track record of delivering complex products to mass production; deep expertise in at least one of NEV, IDC cooling systems, or cold chain equipment.

3. Strong command of mechanical transmission design, motor/reducer selection, and system-level structural design — able to work independently on ambiguous, first-of-kind problems.

4. Thorough understanding of metallic and non-metallic materials and manufacturing processes (injection molding, stamping, die casting, sheet metal, surface treatment); sharp instincts for structural feasibility and cost impact.

5. Expert-level proficiency in SolidWorks or Creo/Pro-E; solid experience with tolerance stack-up analysis; hands-on ANSYS structural or fluid simulation experience preferred.

6. Deep knowledge of DFM, reliability engineering, and validation methodology; experience defining and executing test plans.

7. Comfortable driving decisions under uncertainty; strong engineering judgment, clear communication, and the credibility to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
