Senior Mechanical Engineer

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop engineering solutions in accordance with project requirements and specifications.
• Conduct site inspections, feasibility studies, and assessments to determine project needs.
• Perform detailed engineering calculations, analysis, and simulations to ensure project efficiency and compliance.
• Work closely with other departments for technical drawings preparation, plans, and documentation using engineering software and tools.
• Well verse with authority liaison and submission process
• Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of engineering systems and components.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to deliver successful project outcomes.
• Oversee and review junior engineers’ work, managing deliverables, coordinating submissions and leading client discussions.
• Provide technical support and guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in engineering technologies and best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical).

• More than 8 years of working experience in related field, preferably from consulting background.

• Professional Engineer (Ir.) registration with BEM or progress towards this certification is an added advantage.

• Proven experience in mechanical engineering design, development, and project Management.

• Proficiency in using engineering software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD).

• Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, standards, codes and regulations (e.g., MS, UBBL, NFPA, ASHRAE).

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

• Possesses own transportation and able to travel when needed.

• Good organisation, communication and time management skills. Able to manage several projects and follow up professionally.

• Experience in power infrastructure, solar PV, BESS or renewable energy projects is an advantage.
