Senior Mechanical Engineer

Seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to support the design and delivery of complex data center, mission-critical, advanced manufacturing, and industrial projects. This position will take a lead role in mechanical/HVAC system design while coordinating closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams, clients, contractors, and project stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and engineering of HVAC, cooling, ventilation, and mechanical systems for data center and mission-critical facilities.
• Develop mechanical designs from conceptual planning through construction documents.
• Perform load calculations, equipment sizing, system selection, and technical analysis.
• Design and evaluate chilled water, air-handling, hydronic, and other critical cooling systems.
• Prepare and review drawings, specifications, calculations, equipment schedules, and technical documentation.
• Coordinate mechanical systems with electrical, structural, architectural, controls, and plumbing disciplines.
• Participate in design reviews, constructability assessments, and value-engineering efforts.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and designers.
• Support projects during construction through RFIs, submittal reviews, field observations, and commissioning coordination.
• Interface directly with clients and project teams to ensure designs meet performance, reliability, schedule, and budget requirements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
• 7+ years of mechanical engineering/design experience.
• Experience supporting data centers, mission-critical facilities, semiconductor, advanced manufacturing, pharmaceutical, or other complex industrial projects strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC and critical cooling system design.
• Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, and mechanical design/calculation software preferred.
• Familiarity with applicable ASHRAE, mechanical, energy, and building codes.
• PE license preferred but not required depending on experience.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work across multidisciplinary design and construction teams.
