Job Summary:

The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and improving mechanical systems, components, and products to support engineering and production operations. This role involves applying engineering principles, conducting analysis, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure projects meet technical requirements, safety standards, and customer expectations. The Mechanical Engineer plays a key role in driving innovation, product quality, and efficiency improvements across the organization.

Responsibilities:

Design and develop mechanical systems, components, and equipment in alignment with project specifications.

Prepare engineering drawings, models, and technical documentation.

Conduct simulations, testing, and analysis to validate designs.

Evaluate product performance and implement improvements to ensure reliability and efficiency.

Collaborate with Production, Quality, and Operations to support manufacturability and resolve technical issues.

Research new materials, methods, and technologies to support continuous improvement and innovation.

Provide technical support to internal teams, customers, and vendors as required.

Ancillary Duties

Assist in developing and maintaining engineering standards and best practices.

Support cost-reduction and efficiency initiatives through design improvements.

Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers or interns.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; Master’s degree preferred.

Must have hands-on experience creating and developing Bills of Materials (BOMs) and MUST have the ability to accurately price/cost the complete BOM, including materials, components, and purchased parts, to support product costing and project estimates.

Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, materials science, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics.

Ability to conduct engineering analysis using FEA, CFD, or similar tools.

15+ overall years of experience, with 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or equivalent).

Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, materials science, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics.

Ability to conduct engineering analysis using FEA, CFD, or similar tools.

Strong problem-solving, organizational, and project management skills.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional teamwork.

Familiarity with applicable safety, regulatory, and industry standards
