Job Overview

Adam Electromechanical Contracting is seeking an experienced and technically proficient Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our MEP team. The ideal candidate must have strong expertise in AutoCAD drawings, HVAC systems, plumbing, drainage, and mechanical MEP design and coordination.

The candidate will be responsible for preparing and reviewing technical drawings, coordinating with other MEP disciplines, supporting site execution, and ensuring that mechanical works comply with approved drawings, project specifications, and applicable standards.

Key Responsibilities – Senior Mechanical Engineer (MEP)

· Supervise and monitor the installation of HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and other mechanical MEP systems on-site.

· Ensure all mechanical works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, and applicable standards.

· Prepare, review, and modify AutoCAD mechanical MEP drawings as required.

· Coordinate with technicians, subcontractors, consultants, and other site teams to ensure smooth execution of mechanical works.

· Monitor site progress and ensure timely completion of assigned mechanical activities.

· Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to HVAC, plumbing, and other mechanical systems.

· Coordinate with electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and fire-fighting teams to ensure proper MEP integration.

· Review mechanical shop drawings and ensure correct implementation at the site.

· Prepare and maintain site reports, material requirements, quantity take-offs, and work progress updates.

· Conduct site inspections to ensure installation quality and compliance with project requirements.

· Identify discrepancies between approved drawings and actual site conditions and coordinate corrective actions.

· Ensure compliance with project quality standards, safety procedures, and relevant UAE regulations.

Job Requirements

· Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

· Minimum 2–5 years of relevant experience in an MEP contracting company.

· Strong proficiency in AutoCAD 2D and 3D drawing and drafting.

· Good technical knowledge of HVAC systems, air-conditioning, ventilation, and ducting layouts.

· Strong understanding of plumbing, drainage, and water supply systems.

· Ability to prepare, review, and coordinate mechanical shop drawings and MEP layouts.

· Knowledge of quantity take-offs, BOQs, material specifications, and technical documentation.

· Good understanding of mechanical installation practices and site coordination.

· Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, and coordination skills.

· Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively under project deadlines.

Additional Mandatory Requirement

· A valid UAE driving licence is mandatory. Candidates without a valid UAE driving licence will not be considered.

Salary and Benefits
