Senior Mechanical Engineer

About the role

Support manufacturing engineering activities for HLA products and mechanical parts, including review of customer drawings, BOM, specifications, and technical requirements for manufacturing readiness. Support new product introduction, first article build, mass production, line setup, and production transfer activities.

Key responsibilities

• Support manufacturing engineering activities for High Level Assembly (HLA) products and mechanical parts.
• Review customer drawings, BOM, specifications, and technical requirements for manufacturing readiness.
• Support new product introduction, first article build, mass production, line setup, and production transfer activities.
• Work with Manufacturing, Quality, Buyer/Planner, Supply Chain, and suppliers to resolve manufacturing and technical issues.
• Provide technical support on machining, sheet metal fabrication, surface treatment, coating, plating, anodizing, and finishing requirements.
• Assist in preparing work instructions, process flow, inspection checklist, and production-related documents.
• Review part fit-up, assembly issues, cosmetic requirements, finishing quality, and workmanship concerns.
• Support supplier technical discussion when clarification is required on manufacturability, process capability, or finishing requirements.
• Support continuous improvement activities to improve quality, productivity, and production efficiency.
• Perform other manufacturing engineering duties assigned by the superior.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field
• 2–5+ years of relevant manufacturing engineering experience, preferably within semiconductor capital equipment, EMS, or high-mix low-volume manufacturing environments
• Proven hands-on experience in building and industrializing higher-level electromechanical assemblies
• Experience supporting NPI programs from early development through production ramp-up
• Familiarity with cleanroom manufacturing environments and semiconductor customer requirements is highly desirable
