SENIOR MECHANICAL ENGINEERS / ENGINEERS (HVAC)

About the role

QES Technical Services Sdn Bhd is seeking experienced Senior Mechanical Engineers and Mechanical Engineers specialising in HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) systems to join our growing engineering team in Selangor. This is a full-time position that offers an excellent opportunity to apply your expertise in the design, installation, and maintenance of complex HVAC systems across a variety of commercial and industrial projects.

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer or Mechanical Engineer in HVAC, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality technical solutions that meet client specifications and industry standards. Your work will directly impact project success and contribute to the company's reputation for excellence in mechanical engineering services.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop HVAC systems for commercial, industrial, and residential applications, ensuring compliance with relevant building codes and regulations
• Conduct feasibility studies and provide technical recommendations for HVAC solutions tailored to client requirements
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation using CAD software
• Oversee the installation, commissioning, and testing of HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and quality standards
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to resolve technical issues and maintain project timelines
• Perform site inspections and audits to evaluate HVAC system performance and identify areas for improvement
• Mentor and supervise junior engineers and technical staff (for Senior Mechanical Engineers)
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging HVAC technologies and industry best practices
• Prepare cost estimates and project proposals based on technical requirements and specifications

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline and recent graduates are also welcome.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in HVAC design and engineering for Senior Mechanical Engineers; minimum 3 years for Mechanical Engineers
• Proficiency with CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools)
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, thermodynamics, and refrigeration principles
• Familiarity with HVAC design standards and building regulations in Malaysia or internationally recognised equivalents
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams
• Project management experience is highly desirable
• Professional Engineering (PE) registration or working towards registration is preferred
• Experience with energy modelling and sustainable HVAC solutions is a plus
