Senior Mechanical Project Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Project Engineer to take ownership of mechanical engineering activities for capital investment projects across manufacturing facilities in Thailand. The position will be involved throughout the complete project lifecycle, including initial concept development, feasibility assessment, FEED/FEL, detailed engineering, construction, commissioning, start-up, and final project handover. The successful candidate will ensure that mechanical systems, equipment, utilities, and related infrastructure are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with technical standards, regulatory requirements, approved budgets, and project schedules. This role requires frequent travel to manufacturing sites throughout Thailand to support project implementation, technical assessments, site activities, and collaboration with key stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Take the lead on mechanical engineering activities for CAPEX and plant improvement projects from initial concept through completion
• Develop project scopes, technical requirements, execution plans, cost estimates, and project schedules
• Ensure mechanical project deliverables meet agreed technical, safety, quality, cost, and timeline requirements
• Identify engineering risks and develop appropriate mitigation plans throughout project execution
• Develop, review, and approve mechanical engineering designs, layouts, specifications, and technical documentation
• Provide engineering solutions for mechanical equipment, piping, utilities, material handling systems, and process-related infrastructure
• Define technical requirements and specifications for mechanical equipment and systems
• Evaluate technical proposals from suppliers and participate in equipment selection processes
• Provide technical and engineering support at site during construction and installation activities
• Coordinate and manage engineering consultants, EPC contractors, equipment suppliers, and other external service providers

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related engineering field
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering, project engineering, or CAPEX/project execution
• Experience working in manufacturing, food processing, chemical, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, or other process/industrial environments
• Proven track record in executing capital projects involving mechanical equipment, utilities, piping, and process-related infrastructure
