Senior MEP Quantity Surveyor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior MEP Design and Estimation Engineer to manage the design review, coordination, and execution of mechanical and electrical systems for high-profile projects. The role involves close collaboration with consultants, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with codes, efficient installation, and successful project delivery.

Key Responsibility:

• Review project drawings, specifications, and tender documents to prepare accurate pricing and estimation for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems.
• Develop cost estimates for MEP systems, including HVAC, Fire Fighting, Electrical, ELV, and Plumbing works.
• Conduct value engineering to propose cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and contractors to clarify technical requirements and pricing details.
• Evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotations, ensuring competitive and compliant bids.
• Coordinate with the design team to ensure technical accuracy in estimation deliverables.
• Prepare cost breakdowns, comparison sheets, and tender summaries for management approval.
• Ensure compliance with project timelines, budget constraints, and quality standards.

Skills and Competencies:

• Experience: 8 to 10 years of relevant MEP engineering experience (project management consultant/contractor-experience preferred).
• Qualification: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Registration: Must be registered with Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC).
• Electrical: LV & MV Panels/Sub-Stations
• Understanding of Transformers , Generators and UPS systems
• Earthing and Lightning protection system
• Small power (Including but not limited to "Normal Lights, emergency lights, external lights and power sockets).
• HVAC: Centralized system (VRF , Chillers)
• Plumbing: Water supply, Drainage, Rain water, Stromewater and Natural Gas.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Planswift, Dialux, and ETAP.
• Excellent ability to read, interpret, and critique detailed MEP drawings and specifications.
• Strong coordination and communication skills for consultant-client interactions.
• Ability to identify technical gaps and propose optimal, compliant, and cost-effective solutions.
