Position Overview

We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Merchandiser to oversee product planning, sourcing, and merchandising operations in the household sector. This role requires not only strong commercial acumen but also a solid understanding of engineering principles to ensure product quality, functionality, and innovation.

You will be responsible for engaging in the sales & marketing life-cycle, through various marketing-driven activities to execute King Flair’s business strategy in optimizing growth and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

• Product development: Drive seasonal product planning, design input, and prototype evaluation with an emphasis on household goods.
• Supplier management: Source and negotiate with vendors, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and quality standards
• Engineering collaboration: Work closely with R&D and engineering teams to align product design with market needs and manufacturing feasibility
• Quality assurance: Oversee testing, safety compliance, and durability checks for household products
• Market insights: Analyze consumer trends and competitor offerings to optimize product mix and pricing strategies
• Team leadership: Mentor junior merchandisers and coordinate with cross‑functional teams including engineering, logistics, and other teams

Requirements / Qualifications

• Degree holder in the discipline of Business (minor in Marketing / Merchandising preferred) or Engineering
• At least 5 years' of relevant experience in a Sales & Marketing or Merchandising or Engineering function. Experience gained from Drinkwares / Household / Toys / Gift & Promotional / Sundries products is an advantage
• Versed in market penetration and development of OEM/OBM products
• Exposure to overseas and/or Mainland China vendors liaison
• Strong communication & interpersonal skills; excellent command of English and Chinese (Cantonese & Mandarin)
• Proficiency in Microsoft office skills (i.e. Excel and PowerPoint); knowledge of ERP system
• Possess a good know-how of the sales & marketing engagement cycle within the respective industry along with acute business acumen and negotiation skills
• Analytical, meticulous, collaborative, resourceful and eager to grow within the organization
• Willingness to travel as required
