Senior Merchandiser – Procurement

Scope

In this role, you will be responsible for leading the Sourcing & Procurement teams for the assigned customer category. Additionally, they are responsible for ensuring the achievement of raw material requirements by overseeing the entire procurement process (PO to payment) for the allocated customer account. Furthermore, the job holder is responsible for executing their duties and responsibilities in accordance with the organization's Health & Safety guidelines, instructions and protocols.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate sample and bulk RM requirements with Planning, aligned with T&A and production priorities.
• Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely RM deliveries.
• Coordinate with internal and external team to manage and resolve PO to payment issues.
• Proactively manage RM risks and corrective actions to protect production and garment deliveries

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Textile/Clothing Technology, Materials Management or a related field.
• 3–6 years’ apparel experience in RM planning, procurement, sourcing or supply chain, with strong fabric and trims knowledge.
• Strong communication, coordination and negotiation skills, with urgency, accountability and independence in a fast-paced environment.
• Good Excel and ERP skills to track RM, analyze gaps and provide actionable updates supporting production and delivery commitments.
