About the Role

InMind Global is looking for a Senior MERN Stack Developer to design, build, and ship reliable web applications from front end to back end. You will own features end to end, make sound technical decisions, and help raise the standard of the engineering team through code reviews and mentoring.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack web applications using MongoDB, Express.js, React, and Node.js

• Build clean, reusable, and well-tested front-end components and responsive user interfaces

• Design and implement scalable RESTful APIs and backend services

• Model and optimise MongoDB schemas, queries, and indexes for performance

• Lead technical design discussions and contribute to architecture decisions

• Review code, mentor junior and mid-level developers, and uphold coding standards

• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues quickly

• Work closely with designers, product owners, and other developers to deliver features on schedule

• Write and maintain technical documentation

Requirements

• At least 6 years of professional experience in software development, with significant hands-on work in the MERN stack

• Strong command of JavaScript (ES6+) and Node.js; experience with TypeScript is highly desirable

• Deep experience with React, including hooks, state management (Redux or similar), and performance optimisation

• Solid experience designing REST APIs and working with MongoDB (data modelling, aggregation, indexing)

• Good understanding of authentication and authorization (JWT, OAuth), security best practices, and API design

• Experience with Git, code review workflows, and writing unit/integration tests

• Ability to design maintainable, scalable systems and explain technical decisions clearly

• Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills

Nice to Have

• Experience with Next.js, GraphQL, or microservices

• Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

• Experience leading a small team or acting as a technical lead

• Experience working with agile/Scrum methods
