Microsoft Systems Engineer | Hybrid | Contract-to-Hire

Microsoft Systems Engineer to lead the architecture, security, automation, and lifecycle management of a large-scale Microsoft and VMware infrastructure environment.

This is a technical leadership role supporting enterprise Windows Server, Active Directory, Entra ID, Exchange Hybrid, Microsoft 365 and VMware platforms across a complex global environment.

What You'll Be Doing

• Architect and manage enterprise Microsoft infrastructure including Windows Server, Active Directory, Entra ID, Exchange, Microsoft 365, VMware, DNS, DHCP, and authentication services
• Lead infrastructure modernization, cloud integration, migration, and automation initiatives
• Serve as the technical escalation point for complex Windows, identity, and Microsoft 365 issues
• Drive PowerShell automation and infrastructure-as-code practices
• Establish technical standards, lifecycle roadmaps, security best practices, and operational procedures
• Partner with infrastructure, security, application, and business teams to deliver reliable and secure services
• Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership across the organization

What We're Looking For

• 10+ years of enterprise Microsoft infrastructure engineering experience
• Deep expertise in Windows Server, Active Directory, Entra ID, Exchange Hybrid, Microsoft 365 and VMware virtualization technologies.
• Strong PowerShell scripting and automation capabilities
• Experience with hybrid cloud environments, virtualization, identity management, and disaster recovery
• Knowledge of DevOps concepts including CI/CD, Terraform, IaC, and Azure DevOps
• Strong background in cybersecurity, patching, vulnerability remediation, and operational excellence
• Proven ability to lead complex enterprise infrastructure projects and influence technical strategy
