Senior Mis Executive

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and analytical Senior MIS Executive to join our Back Office Operations team in Worli, Mumbai. The ideal candidate should have advanced proficiency in MS Excel, Google Sheets, Google Apps Script, SQL, databases, Looker Studio, Odoo and AI tools. The role will involve developing MIS reports, dashboards, Flow Management Systems (FMS), checklists, database-driven applications, and automation solutions to improve operational efficiency.

The candidate will also be responsible for creating and managing SQL database tables, writing queries, connecting databases with frontend applications, and converting business requirements into practical technology solutions.

1. MIS, Reporting & Dashboard Management

• Develop, maintain, and manage MIS reports and dashboards using MS Excel and Google Sheets.
• Create management dashboards for KPIs, operational performance, productivity, pending activities, and business performance.
• Build dynamic reports using advanced formulas, Pivot Tables, Power Query, and other data-analysis tools.
• Develop dashboards and visualizations using Looker Studio.
• Ensure accuracy, consistency, and timely availability of MIS reports.
• Analyze large datasets and provide meaningful business insights to management.

2. Excel & Google Sheets Automation

• Utilize advanced Excel functions including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, INDEX & MATCH, ARRAYFORMULA, QUERY, FILTER, SUMIFS/COUNTIFS, Dynamic Arrays, Macros/VBA, and Power Query.
• Use Google Sheets for collaborative data management and real-time reporting.
• Develop automated data-processing and reporting solutions using Google Apps Script.
• Optimize Google Sheets and scripts for handling large datasets efficiently.

3. Flow Management Systems (FMS) & Checklist Development

• Design, develop, and maintain Flow Management Systems (FMS) for operational processes.
• Create digital checklists for different departments and business processes.
• Automate task assignment, scheduling, reminders, escalations, status tracking, and completion monitoring.
• Develop systems for Doers, Process Coordinators, Auditors, designated users, delegations, recurring tasks, and pending activities.
• Continuously improve existing FMS and checklist systems based on operational requirements.

4. SQL & Database Management

• Extract, manipulate, and analyze data from ERP and other databases.
• Write SQL queries for data extraction, reporting, validation, reconciliation, and analysis.
• Create and maintain SQL database structures based on business requirements.
• Create SQL tables, columns, relationships, indexes, and other database objects.
• Import, clean, transform, and manage data within SQL databases.
• Maintain data integrity, accuracy, and consistency.
• Implement primary keys, foreign keys, relationships, constraints, and basic database normalization.
• Create views, stored procedures, and other database objects where required.
• Troubleshoot database and query-related issues.

5. Frontend & Database Integration

• Connect frontend applications with SQL databases to create database-driven business applications.
• Develop or support frontend interfaces for adding data, updating records, searching information, viewing reports, tracking status, managing assignments, and uploading supporting documents.
• Create APIs or backend services where required to securely connect frontend applications with databases.
• Ensure proper data flow between Frontend, Backend/API, SQL Database, and Dashboard/Reports.
• Implement validation and error handling to maintain data quality.
• Work with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or other relevant frontend technologies as required.
• Convert operational requirements into simple and user-friendly digital systems

6. AI Integration & Automation

• Utilize AI tools and technologies to improve data processing and operational efficiency.
• Use AI for data analysis, report generation, forecasting, data validation, process automation, error identification, documentation, and business insights.
• Implement AI-based solutions that reduce repetitive manual work.
• Use AI development tools to accelerate system development, debugging, documentation, and process improvement.

7. ERP & Business Data Management

• Extract and analyze data from ERP systems.
• Understand ERP data structures and relationships.
• Create SQL queries and reports to support business requirements.
• Reconcile ERP data with MIS reports and operational data.
• Identify data inconsistencies and coordinate with relevant teams for resolution.

• Effectively utilize the tools, resources, and methodologies provided through the Tech Alumni by Sanjeev Jain.

9. Communication & Management Reporting

• Ensure clear and effective communication within the MIS team and with other departments.
• Understand business requirements and convert them into practical MIS/system solutions.
• Prepare and present reports and dashboards to management.
• Explain data, trends, exceptions, and business insights clearly and concisely.
• Maintain decent spoken English for effective internal and external communication.

10. Operational Support & Process Improvement

• Provide operational support related to MIS, reporting, databases, and business systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to MIS reports, automation, scripts, databases, and applications.
• Identify repetitive manual processes and recommend automation opportunities.
• Continuously improve existing systems and workflows.
• Support digital transformation initiatives across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and Google Sheets.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Knowledge of Odoo ERP and its business modules.
• Knowledge of Google Apps Script for FMS and checklist development.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Understanding of frontend-to-database integration.
• Experience with Looker Studio.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working with ERP databases.
• Experience using AI tools for data analysis, automation, and operational efficiency.
• Decent spoken English and effective communication skills.
