Job Overview

A unique opportunity for an artistic, experienced, and dynamic Senior Mixologist to lead our cocktail program and elevate the guest experience. You will design innovative drink menus, craft classic and bespoke cocktails with precision, mentor junior bar staff, and maintain the highest standards of bar operations, inventory, and hygiene.

Key Responsibilities

• Menu Development: Create, test, and cost seasonal, signature, and bespoke cocktail menus that align with the venue’s brand and profit margins.
• Drink Preparation: Mix, garnish, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to exact specifications and speed-of-service standards.
• Bar and Restaurant Leadership & Training: Support the Bar Manager, supervise service during peak hours, and train bartenders/mixologists on techniques, product knowledge, and hospitality.
• Inventory & Stock Control: Monitor bar stock levels, conduct weekly stock takes, place supplier orders, and minimize waste.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure full adherence to UK licensing laws (e.g., Challenge 25, age verification), health and safety regulations, and cleanliness standards.
• Guest Engagement: Deliver theatrical, friendly, and knowledgeable table or bar-top service, building a loyal regular clientele.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Extensive Experience: as a mixologist or senior bartender in a high-volume craft cocktail bar, upscale restaurant, or hotel bar.
• Technical Mastery: Deep knowledge of spirits, wine, beer, bitters, infusions, ice-carving, and molecular or traditional mixology techniques.
• Certifications: Personal License Holder (advantageous) and Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, leadership under pressure, creative flair, and a passion for hospitality.
• Availability: Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
