Senior Mobile App Developer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mobile App Developer to take technical ownership of mobile enhancements, maintenance and releases for an established Flutter application used across multiple regions.

Working closely with product owners, backend developers and QA teams, you will deliver reliable, intuitive mobile experiences across iOS and Android. This is a hands-on role covering feature development, native integrations, performance improvement and production troubleshooting.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain mobile applications using Flutter and Dart across iOS and Android.
• Translate business requirements and UI/UX designs into reliable, user-friendly mobile features.
• Integrate native functionality and third-party SDKs using Swift, Kotlin and Flutter platform channels.
• Implement and maintain local data storage, caching and synchronization.
• Integrate backend APIs and secure authentication, including single sign-on and session management.
• Improve application performance, stability and reliability across devices and network conditions.
• Investigate and resolve application defects, crashes and platform-specific issues.
• Manage application configurations and builds across development, testing and production environments.
• Maintain CI/CD workflows and support application signing, provisioning and App Store and Google Play releases.
• Write clean, maintainable code, conduct code reviews and contribute to technical design decisions.
• Develop automated tests and collaborate with QA teams on integration testing and UAT.
• Work closely with product owners, designers and backend developers, and maintain technical documentation.

What we're looking for

• At least 5 years of mobile application development experience, with strong hands-on experience delivering production applications using Flutter and Dart.
• A track record of developing, releasing and supporting applications on both iOS and Android.
• Strong understanding of mobile architecture, state management, asynchronous programming and reusable component design.
• Experience with Swift and/or Kotlin, native SDK integration and platform-specific troubleshooting.
• Experience integrating REST APIs, handling JSON and implementing secure token-based authentication.
• Practical knowledge of SQLite or sqflite, local persistence and mobile data synchronization.
• Experience with Git, branching workflows, merge requests and CI/CD.
• Familiarity with mobile testing, debugging, performance profiling and release management.
• Ability to understand an existing codebase, identify improvements and deliver changes independently.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate with technical and business stakeholders.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies, unit testing and test-driven development, or published applications on app stores.
• Proficiency in both English and Mandarin Chinese, spoken and written, is required.

Experience that would be an advantage

• Barcode scanning or camera SDKs, particularly Dynamsoft Barcode Reader.
• Apple Vision, TensorFlow Lite or other on-device image processing technologies.
• Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD, MSAL and enterprise single sign-on.
• Firebase integration and configuration.
• Familiarity with Python, Django REST Framework and PostgreSQL to support collaboration with the backend team.
• Applications exchanging data with enterprise platforms such as SAP or Salesforce.
• Enterprise applications supporting inventory, supply chain or medical technology operations.
