Senior Mobile Engineer (React Native and iOS)

About your role:

As a Senior Software Engineer, Mobile (React Native & iOS), you will design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable mobile applications across React Native and native iOS platforms. Supporting more than 30 million active users and billions of annual financial transactions, you will help modernize Fiserv’s mobile platform and use AI-assisted development practices to deliver high-quality digital financial experiences faster.

What you’ll do:

• Design, develop, test, and maintain mobile applications using React Native, TypeScript, Swift, SwiftUI, and iOS frameworks.
• Build reusable React Native components, iOS frameworks, native modules, and SDK integrations.
• Develop platform-specific iOS features and contribute to shared React Native codebases.
• Collaborate with Product, UX/UI, Backend Engineering, Security, and QA teams in an Agile environment.
• Integrate RESTful APIs, third-party SDKs, payment services, and financial technology platforms.
• Optimize application performance, accessibility, reliability, and security across iPhone and iPad devices.
• Manage CI/CD, automated testing, monitoring, analytics, crash reporting, and mobile releases while using AI-powered development tools to improve delivery and code quality.
• Contribute to code reviews, architecture discussions, engineering standards, platform modernization, and mentoring activities. Responsibilities listed are not intended to be all-inclusive and may be modified as necessary.

Experience you’ll need to have:

• 5+ years of professional mobile application development experience.
• 3+ years of experience building and deploying production-grade React Native applications.
• 3+ years of native iOS development experience using Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit, and Apple’s iOS SDK.
• Strong expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript, React Hooks, component architecture, navigation, and state management.
• Strong understanding of iOS architecture patterns, including MVVM, Clean Architecture, dependency injection, and scalable application design.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, asynchronous programming, third-party SDKs, mobile security, authentication, encryption, secure storage, and data protection.
• Experience publishing and maintaining Apple App Store applications and working with Git, CI/CD, automated testing, and release management.
• Experience using AI-assisted coding tools, plus a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Experience that would be great to have:

• Experience building custom React Native native modules, bridges, and iOS integrations, including the New Architecture, TurboModules, Fabric, and JSI.
• Experience with Swift Concurrency, Combine, modern iOS patterns, and testing tools such as Jest, React Native Testing Library, XCTest, Appium, or Detox.
• Experience with Firebase, CodePush, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience implementing AI-powered mobile features and using analytics, observability, crash reporting, or performance-monitoring tools.
• Fintech, banking, payments, digital wallet, PCI-regulated, or large-scale consumer mobile experience, including mentoring engineers or leading platform modernization.

How you’ll work:

This role is on-site Monday through Friday. Fiserv considers in-person collaboration to be an essential part of this role as in-person office experiences help you with your overall onboarding experience and lead to stronger productivity.

Travel:

Approximately 10% travel off-site or to other office locations is expected.

Salary Range

$128,000.00 - $216,000.00

These pay ranges apply to employees in New Jersey and New York. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.
