Senior Mobile Software Engineer – AI Evaluation

We are looking for experienced Senior Mobile Software Engineers to contribute to a project focused on evaluating advanced AI systems through challenging mobile software engineering tasks.

The role involves designing realistic coding problems, creating reproducible development environments, and developing reference solutions and automated verification for mobile engineering scenarios.

What You'll Do

• Design challenging mobile software engineering tasks involving real-world development scenarios
• Create tasks focused on bug fixing, feature development, refactoring, application state and lifecycle, and performance optimization
• Develop reproducible environments for each task
• Create deterministic verifiers to evaluate whether solutions correctly address the requirements
• Develop reference solutions demonstrating valid implementations
• Design tasks using relevant mobile technologies across Android, iOS, and cross-platform development
• Ensure tasks are technically accurate, challenging, and suitable for structured AI evaluation

What We're Looking For Strong hands-on experience in at least one of these areas:

• Cross-platform: TypeScript/JavaScript with React Native or Dart with Flutter
• iOS: Swift with SwiftUI or UIKit
• Android: Kotlin with Jetpack Compose or Android View system

You Should Also Have

• Strong understanding of mobile application architecture
• Experience with state management and asynchronous programming
• Strong understanding of mobile application lifecycle
• Proven ability to debug complex mobile applications
• Experience resolving software bugs and implementing non-trivial features
• Experience identifying and delivering performance improvements
• Ability to work independently and create technically rigorous engineering tasks

Engagement Details Location: Remote

Engagement: Contractor

Commitment: Approximately 15 hours/week

Schedule: Flexible

Start: Selected candidates are expected to begin within 24–48 hours of completing onboarding

Prior AI experience is not required. We are primarily looking for strong mobile software engineering expertise and the ability to create and evaluate complex technical problems.
