Role Description

We are seeking a Motion Graphic Designer who specializes in map animation and geographical visual storytelling, combining creative vision with technical excellence. You'll be responsible for designing and animating maps, alongside broader motion graphics work across the channel. This isn't just about executing requests; we want someone who can look at raw footage or a brief and know how motion and design can elevate the story being told.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and animate maps and location-based graphics for our travel videos— routes, zoom-ins, city/country transitions, pins, and location callouts

• Develop motion direction from end-to-end, from creative concept to final output.

• Design and produce broader 2D/3D motion graphics, animation, typography, compositing, and VFX for YouTube videos including titles, infographics, transitions, callouts, and end cards.

• Own timing, rhythm, and composition to deliver motion that is visually distinctive and serves the story, not just decorates it.

• Provide art direction across projects, establishing and maintaining a consistent, elevated visual style across the channel.

• Control quality of animation, compositing, and visual consistency before release; ensure resolution, frame rate, codec, color, and format meet platform standards.

• Own assigned deliverables from brief through final delivery, coordinating with Producers and Editors on visual and technical solutions.

Requirements

• Advanced experience with GEOlayers (or similar map/geo-animation plugins) in After Effects — required

• Fluent English proficiency with exceptional verbal and listening skills

• At least 5 years of professional experience as a Motion Graphic Designer

• Proven art direction experience: able to define a visual style and translate a creative concept into polished visual output

• Strong command of Photoshop,Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, Cinema 4D, and Illustrator

• Strong visual thinking, a good aesthetic sense, and the ability to tell a story through movement

• Experience in with long form, documentary-style food, culture and lifestyle contents on Youtube, digital content, or social media video

• Proactive, accountable, and able to work well under tight deadlines, with strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
