Roles & Responsibilities

Role Summary

Integration Engineer is a fully functioning engineer responsible for designing, developing, and delivering enterprise integrations across diverse technology platforms. While MuleSoft serves as the primary integration platform, the engineer is expected to work across REST, SOAP, GraphQL, messaging systems, and event-driven architectures to solve business integration challenges.

The engineer translates requirements documents into technical designs, integration specifications, implementation plans, and backlog stories. They build APIs, transformations, workflows, and orchestration layers connecting applications across MuleSoft, AWS, Salesforce, databases, and custom platforms. This role owns integration quality, testing, documentation, and production readiness while actively contributing to agile planning activities.

Key Responsibilities

Integration Solution Design

• Analyze business requirements and integration use cases.
• Convert functional requirements into technical integration designs.
• Create solution design documents, sequence diagrams, mapping specifications, and API contracts.
• Define scalable, secure, and reusable integration patterns.

MuleSoft Development

• Design and develop MuleSoft APIs and integration services.
• Implement:
  • System APIs
  • Process APIs
  • Experience APIs
• Build reusable connectors, policies, and shared integration components.
• Implement DataWeave transformations and orchestration workflows.

API Development & Management

• Design and implement APIs using:
  • REST
  • SOAP
  • GraphQL
• Develop versioning, governance, and lifecycle management practices.
• Implement API security, authentication, throttling, and monitoring.

Cloud & Platform Integrations

• Build integrations across:
  • AWS Services
  • Salesforce

• Implement event-driven integrations using messaging and asynchronous processing patterns.

Requirements Analysis & Agile Delivery

• Translate requirements documents into technical stories and actionable backlog items.

• Monitor integration performance and reliability.
• Troubleshoot complex production incidents.

• Mentor junior integration engineers and developers.
