Senior Navigation Engineer

Senior Navigation Engineer — Build the algorithms that let drones fly without GPS. On-site, Toulouse, France. GPS fails in contested airspace — jammed, spoofed, gone. Most drones go blind. Ours don't: we build the module that lets a drone navigate by what it sees, no satellites required, already flying with leading aerospace manufacturers and defense agencies in Europe.

This role owns significant parts of the navigation stack: state estimation, visual-inertial navigation, geo-localization, sensor fusion, and the architecture that connects them — from the math to production code running on real aircraft.

What You'll Do → Drive architecture and system design decisions for the navigation stack

→ Write, review, and ship production code that stays maintainable and performant

→ Design failure detection and confidence metrics so the system knows what it can trust

→ Turn research ideas and papers into robust, tested, real-time code

→ Set engineering standards and mentor other engineers

→ Debug the hardest problems across software, robotics, and sensor data

What We're Looking For → 3+ years of relevant experience with real systems you've owned and shipped

→ Strong software design fundamentals and solid math: 3D geometry, probabilistic estimation, filtering, uncertainty

→ Comfortable in Linux, modern CI/version control, and AI-assisted dev tools

→ Bonus: SLAM, visual-inertial odometry, robotics/drone experience, Kalman filters, defense/aerospace background
