About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with strong software engineering fundamentals and practical experience using AI-assisted coding tools and Specification-Driven Development (SDD).

The ideal candidate is an experienced developer who actively uses modern AI coding tools, particularly Claude Code, while retaining the technical judgement to independently assess, challenge and improve AI-generated solutions.

The focus is on leveraging AI throughout the software development lifecycle without compromising code quality, engineering standards or delivery reliability.

The primary technology is .NET/C#, although experienced Java developers will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain enterprise applications using .NET/C# or Java.
• Apply Specification-Driven Development, translating requirements into structured specifications to guide AI-assisted implementation.
• Use AI coding assistants such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor or similar tools for implementation, debugging, refactoring and testing.
• Critically review and validate AI-generated code, identifying technical weaknesses, incorrect assumptions and potential risks.
• Maintain code quality, security, performance and maintainability through sound engineering practices, testing and code reviews.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and engineering teams to deliver reliable, production-ready software.

Skills & Experience

• 5–10+ years of hands-on software development experience, preferably within enterprise environments.
• Strong expertise in .NET/C# or Java, including backend development, APIs and software architecture.
• Practical experience integrating AI coding tools into real-world software development workflows.
• Familiarity with Specification-Driven Development, specification-first approaches or structured AI-assisted development.
• Strong understanding of software design, clean code, testing, debugging, Git and CI/CD.
• Ability to independently challenge, correct and improve AI-generated code rather than relying on AI output without validation.
• Proactive, analytical and autonomous approach to engineering.

Nice to Have

• Recent hands-on experience with Claude Code, particularly in specification-driven workflows.
• Exposure to other AI coding tools, including Cursor, GitHub Copilot or comparable agentic development solutions.
• Experience introducing AI-assisted development practices within engineering teams.
• Familiarity with Azure or AWS, Docker and distributed applications.
