About the Role

Looking for a Senior .NET Integration Developer (Lead Engineer) to lead the development and enhancement of enterprise-grade integration platforms connecting Shopify Plus, ERP systems, sales channels, PIM platforms, and middleware ecosystems.

This role is focused on immediate project delivery for a large-scale retail and eCommerce transformation initiative involving high-volume integrations, distributed systems, event-driven processing, and real-time synchronization between enterprise platforms.

The ideal candidate is a strong hands-on engineer with deep expertise in .NET, integration architecture, SQL Server, and enterprise workflows such as order management, fulfillment, inventory synchronization, returns, and customer lifecycle processing.

You will work closely with Solution Architects, Shopify teams, QA engineers, business stakeholders, and client technical teams to deliver scalable, maintainable, and resilient integration solutions. The role requires strong ownership, proactive problem-solving, and the ability to operate effectively in partially documented enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

Integration Platform Development

• Design, develop, and enhance enterprise integration platforms using .NET 6/7/8, ASP.NET Core, Web APIs, background services, and SQL Server.
• Build and maintain middleware components connecting:

o Shopify Plus

o ERP systems

o SellerCloud

o PIM platforms (Syndigo or similar)

o payment systems

o shipping/logistics platforms

o sales channels and internal business systems.

• Develop scalable integration workflows for:

o Product synchronization

o Inventory synchronization

o Pricing updates

o Order processing

o Fulfillment updates

o Refunds and returns (RMA)

o Gift card and payment-related workflows.

• Implement event-driven and batch-processing integration patterns using:

o webhooks

o scheduled jobs

o queues

o retry mechanisms

o delta synchronization strategies.

• Build resilient integration services with strong logging, monitoring, failover, and recovery handling.

Enterprise & ERP Integration

• Work extensively with SQL Server, stored procedures, staging databases, and relational data models.
• Integrate with homegrown and enterprise ERP systems through:

o database-level integrations

o staging tables

o stored procedures

o internal APIs.

• Understand and support ERP business workflows including:

o Order Management

o Inventory

o Fulfillment

o Shipping

o Returns/RMA

o Customer management

o Pricing and promotions.

• Analyze partially documented systems and proactively reverse-engineer business and technical flows when required.

Architecture & Technical Leadership

• Contribute to scalable middleware and integration architecture design.
• Apply clean coding standards and maintainable engineering practices.
• Participate in technical design reviews, code reviews, and architecture discussions.
• Guide junior and mid-level developers on implementation approaches and engineering standards.
• Collaborate with architects and technical stakeholders to define:

o data contracts

o transformation logic

o integration sequencing

o error-handling strategies

o API standards.

Shopify & Sales Channel Integrations

• Build and maintain integrations with Shopify Admin APIs (REST & GraphQL).
• Develop synchronization workflows between Shopify and ERP systems using middleware platforms and Service Hub architectures.
• Handle:

o webhook processing

o API rate limits

o pagination

o bulk data operations

o inventory synchronization across multiple locations.

• Support integrations with sales channels and marketplaces such as:

o Amazon

o eBay

o SellerCloud

o fulfillment and logistics systems.

Performance, Reliability & Scalability

• Design systems capable of handling high-volume data synchronization workloads.
• Optimize data processing and background job execution for scalability and reliability.
• Troubleshoot production integration failures and perform root-cause analysis.
• Ensure idempotent processing and transactional consistency across distributed systems.

Collaboration & Delivery

• Work closely with:

o Solution Architects

o Shopify developers

o QA teams

o Product Owners

o Client stakeholders.

• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and delivery planning.
• Contribute to technical documentation, integration mapping, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
• Operate effectively within client-managed Agile workflows and distributed teams.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline.
