Senior .NET MAUI Mobile Developer

Project overview

The project is a cross-platform .NET MAUI app for the MultiSport benefit program, available on Android and iOS. Key functionality includes gym discovery and access using QR codes, with offline QR generation for locations with limited connectivity. The app also includes maps, search, and facility information.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and improve mobile application features using .NET MAUI and C#.
• Contribute to code quality, architecture, and maintainability as part of the existing development team.
• Review relevant Azure DevOps CI/CD processes and suggest improvements; contribute to implementation where agreed.
• Work with the team to identify mobile security risks and recommend appropriate mitigations.
• Collaborate with QA on test coverage and automation, including the use of Firebase, Appium, and related tooling.
• Communicate technical risks and improvement options clearly, rather than silently working around problems.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience developing production applications with C# and .NET MAUI.
• Experience with cross-platform mobile development for Android and iOS.
• Working knowledge of mobile CI/CD—ideally Azure DevOps—and the ability to spot opportunities to improve build and release workflows.
• Practical awareness of mobile security and mobile QA/testing practices.
• Familiarity with Firebase and Appium; the client mentioned these as relevant tools.
• Ability to explain findings and make pragmatic recommendations beyond the immediate coding task.

Useful additional experience

• Experience with Xamarin-to-MAUI migration or modernization.
• Experience with offline-first mobile features, QR/barcode access, maps, or search over large location datasets.
• Hands-on experience improving automated mobile testing or Android/iOS build pipelines.
