GOHANITECH is hiring a Senior Network & Cloud Engineer (Cebu) on behalf of a client

ABOUT THE ROLE

Gohanitech is recruiting on behalf of a client, a major airport operator based in Cebu. This is a full-time, direct-hire position with the client. Gohanitech will conduct an initial internal screening of all applicants and forward qualified candidates to the client, who will handle the final interviews and hiring decision.

The Senior Network & Cloud Engineer is the hands-on design and administration authority for the airport terminal networks, WAN, firewalls, and hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI). The role holds privileged access, implements changes beyond the scope of the outsourced NOC, and serves as backup to the Head of Terminal Infrastructure & Network. Officer to Assistant Manager level.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, implement, and configure network, firewall, and SD-WAN solutions, including airline departure control system (DCS) connectivity and integration of new sites
• Hold and safeguard privileged credentials; maintain configuration backups and up-to-date network documentation and diagrams
• Act as Level 3 escalation point for the NOC provider on complex incidents, resolving within SLA
• Monitor network and HCI capacity and plan upgrades to prevent capacity-related incidents
• Coordinate with carriers, network vendors, airline IT, and the NOC provider on network integration and support
• Implement changes with zero unplanned outages and ensure all designs are documented

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering, or Information Technology
• 6+ years of experience in network engineering; airport, aviation, or telco background preferred
• CCNP certification required (or equivalent); Fortinet NSE preferred
• Strong hands-on skills in routing and switching, VLANs, firewalls, VPN, SD-WAN, Wi-Fi, and VMware/HCI
• Precise, documentation-driven, and calm under pressure when troubleshooting
• Based in Cebu or willing to relocate to Cebu
