The candidate will be responsible for handling patient calls, coordinating appointments, providing accurate information, and ensuring a smooth patient experience.

Position: Senior Hardware and Network Engineer

Role summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Hardware and Network Engineer to maintain and improve the organization’s IT infrastructure. The role covers server and endpoint hardware, network design and operations, security, troubleshooting, and technical guidance for the IT team.

Key responsibilities

• Design, install, configure, and maintain LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, and network security infrastructure.
• Administer routers, switches, firewalls, wireless controllers, and related network services.
• Maintain servers, storage systems, backup devices, workstations, and other IT hardware.
• Monitor infrastructure performance, availability, capacity, and security; resolve incidents and recurring issues.
• Diagnose hardware, operating system, connectivity, and performance problems.
• Plan and carry out hardware refreshes, network upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure projects.
• Manage backups, disaster recovery procedures, patching, and configuration documentation.
• Apply security controls, including access management, network segmentation, firewall rules, and firmware updates.
• Coordinate with vendors and service providers for procurement, support, and escalations.
• Provide technical leadership, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to IT standards and procedures.
• Maintain accurate asset inventories, network diagrams, and operational records.

Required qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field—or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience in hardware, systems, and network engineering, including senior-level ownership of infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and firewalls.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise server, storage, endpoint, and network hardware.
• Experience with Windows Server and/or Linux administration.
• Familiarity with monitoring, backup, endpoint management, and security tools.
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.

Preferred qualifications

• Certifications such as CCNP, CCNA, or vendor-specific server/network certifications.
• Experience with virtualization platforms, cloud networking, and infrastructure automation.
• Knowledge of high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity practices.
• Experience managing infrastructure projects and external vendors.
