Senior Network and Systems Engineer

About the role

Serve as senior escalation point for complex issues and ensuring timely resolution. Lead infrastructure monitoring and reporting on health, traffic, performance, vulnerabilities and trends to management. Evaluate and optimize existing systems to improve efficiency, scalability, and reliability. Design and document workflows, system diagrams, and operational processes for IT and business alignment. Architect solutions that balance innovation with financial and resource constraints. Plan and implement enterprise network security, including firewall management, VPN configuration, host security, file permissions, and system integrity.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as senior escalation point for complex customer and help desk issues, ensuring timely resolution
• Lead infrastructure monitoring and reporting on health, traffic, performance, vulnerabilities and trends to management
• Evaluate and optimize existing systems to improve efficiency, scalability, and reliability
• Design and document workflows, system diagrams, and operational processes for IT and business alignment
• Architect solutions that balance innovation with financial and resource constraints
• Plan and implement enterprise network security, including firewall management, VPN configuration, host security, file permissions, and system integrity

About you

• Degree in related field or equivalent applicable work experience
• 5+ years of progressive experience in network and systems administration, including help desk escalation and infrastructure support.
• Experience with Firewalls: Sophos, Cisco Meraki, Fortinet, Unify
• Expert-level knowledge of Active Directory, Enterprise domain controllers, and group policy management, Microsoft Azure, DNS, DHCP, Microsoft Integrations, Office 365, and hybrid cloud environments, Windows Server and Workstations.
• Deep understanding of network security, firewalls, VPNs, Routers, WAN/LAN, ACL, intrusion detection/prevention, and endpoint protection
