Job Description:

GreenDart is seeking an accomplished Senior Network Architect to design, modernize, integrate, and secure mission‑critical network environments supporting high‑impact Department of Defense and space programs. This role requires a true enterprise‑level network architect — someone who has personally designed complex networks, solved difficult interoperability challenges, and supported secure classified infrastructure.

What You’ll Do:

  • Architect and modernize complex enterprise, mission, and classified network environments.
  • Own end‑to‑end network architecture across LAN/WAN, routing, switching, transport, segmentation, and secure communications.
  • Design and troubleshoot advanced routing environments using BGP, OSPF, MPLS, IPv4/IPv6, multicast, VLANs, and QoS.
  • Develop detailed network architectures, topology diagrams, configuration standards, and engineering documentation.
  • Architect solutions using Cisco ASR/ISR/Nexus, Arista, and comparable enterprise networking platforms.
  • Design and integrate SD‑WAN, spine‑leaf architectures, Zero Trust segmentation, and hybrid/cloud connectivity.
  • Integrate network security technologies including Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA, IDS/IPS, TACACS+, and secure access controls.
  • Support and enhance classified network environments (SIPRNET, NIPRNET, and other mission networks).
  • Conduct traffic, throughput, performance, and data‑flow analysis to optimize reliability and availability.
  • Troubleshoot complex interoperability and system‑of‑systems issues and drive root‑cause resolution.
  • Support architecture validation, technical design reviews, and modernization initiatives.
  • Collaborate directly with government customers, cybersecurity teams, systems engineers, vendors, and program leadership.

Required Qualifications:

  • 15+ years progressive network engineering/architecture experience in DoD, aerospace, intelligence, or mission‑critical environments.
  • Demonstrated experience personally designing enterprise network architectures.
  • Deep hands‑on expertise with BGP and OSPF.
  • Strong enterprise Cisco routing and switching background.
  • Experience with MPLS, LAN/WAN, IPv4/IPv6, VLANs, multicast, QoS, segmentation.
  • Experience designing or supporting secure/classified network environments.
  • Strong knowledge of network security, Zero Trust, STIG compliance, and infrastructure hardening.
  • Proven ability to develop architecture documentation and communicate complex designs to diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis capabilities.
  • Experience collaborating with DoD/government customers and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Active Secret clearance required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related technical field.

Highly Desired:

  • SIPRNET / NIPRNET architecture experience.
  • Cisco ASR, ISR, Nexus 9000/9300.
  • Arista and spine‑leaf architecture.
  • SD‑WAN architecture and implementation.
  • Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA experience.
  • Network automation (Ansible or similar).
  • Cloud/hybrid network architecture (Azure/AWS).
  • Secure communications, COMSEC, VoIP, VTC.
  • Experience with DoD space, satellite, ground systems, SATCOM, C2, mission networks.
  • System‑of‑systems integration, interoperability, network modeling, and data‑flow analysis.
