Senior Network Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to join our dynamic team. Based in Puchong, Selangor, this role is crucial to our organisation's IT infrastructure and operations. As a Senior Network Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our complex network systems that support our business operations. The role is based on-site at our Puchong facility, where you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal network performance and security.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise-level network infrastructure and systems
• Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to optimise system efficiency
• Manage network security protocols, firewalls, and access controls to protect organisational data
• Conduct regular network audits and assessments to ensure compliance with industry standards
• Troubleshoot complex network issues and provide timely resolutions to minimise downtime
• Plan and execute network upgrades and migrations with minimal business disruption
• Collaborate with IT teams to support infrastructure requirements and business continuity
• Document network configurations, procedures, and maintain technical documentation
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior network administrators
• Stay current with emerging network technologies and recommend improvements

What we're looking for

• Minimum 7-10 years of professional experience in network engineering and administration
• Strong expertise in network design, implementation, and management across large-scale environments
• In-depth knowledge of routing protocols, switching technologies, and network security frameworks
• Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, or equivalent enterprise networking equipment
• Proficiency in firewall management, VPN configuration, and intrusion detection systems
• Advanced troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve complex network issues efficiently
• Relevant certifications such as CCNP, JNCP, or equivalent professional qualifications
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP protocols and network architectures
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Knowledge of network monitoring tools and performance management software
• Preferred experience with cloud networking, SD-WAN, or network virtualisation technologies
• Willing to travel to outstation
