Senior Network Engineer

About the role

Lead network deployment, migration, testing and production cutover activities. Configure and integrate routers, switches, firewalls, wireless, VPN, load balancers and SD-WAN solutions. Support solution design, technical workshops, POCs, testing and infrastructure transformation projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead network deployment, migration, testing and production cutover activities
• Configure and integrate routers, switches, firewalls, wireless, VPN, load balancers and SD-WAN solutions
• Support solution design, technical workshops, POCs, testing and infrastructure transformation projects
• Support firewall, VPN, NAC, SASE and other network security initiatives
• Provide technical leadership, L3 escalation support and RCA for complex network issues
• Work with technology vendors, system integrators and MSPs to ensure successful project delivery
• Prepare implementation plans, network documentation and operational handover materials
• Support knowledge transfer, post-implementation reviews and continuous improvement

About you

• Degree in IT, Computer Engineering or related discipline.
• At least 8 years of hands-on network engineering experience, preferably with large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Strong experience with Cisco routing & switching, Catalyst, Nexus and wireless technologies.
• Hands-on experience with BGP, OSPF, EIGRP and SD-WAN.
• Experience with firewalls, VPN, NAC, SASE and network security.
• Good knowledge of data centre, cloud and hybrid networking.
• Experience working with vendors, system integrators and managed service providers.
• Strong troubleshooting, project implementation and stakeholder management skills.
• Familiarity with ITIL Change, Incident and Service Transition processes.
• CCNA/CCNP, Meraki, Fortinet, Palo Alto or SD-WAN certifications will be an advantage.
