Senior Network Engineer

Senior Network Engineer | Lisbon (Hybrid)

We are looking for a Senior Network Engineer to join a network transformation program while ensuring the stability and performance of the existing infrastructure. Acting as the senior technical lead, you will be responsible for supporting day-to-day network operations and delivering key Cisco infrastructure modernization initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise network environments.
• Resolve incidents across wired, wireless, access, and core networks.
• Support NAC and authentication-related issues.
• Participate in change windows, maintenance activities, and operational support.
• Maintain documentation, runbooks, and improve network observability.
• Lead the migration from legacy Cisco switches to Cisco Nexus (NX-OS) .
• Implement a new Cisco Wireless platform.
• Support the deployment of Network Access Control (NAC) solutions.
• Deploy and manage Cisco Catalyst Center (DNA Center) .
• Drive improvements in network automation and configuration management.

Requirements:

• Master's degree in IT, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in Network Engineering.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco Nexus/NX-OS and Cisco IOS/IOS-XE .
• Experience with switch upgrades, migrations, and replacements.
• Knowledge of Cisco Catalyst Center (DNA Center) .
• Experience implementing Cisco Wireless solutions.
• Exposure to 802.1X, RADIUS, and Cisco ISE .
• Strong operational support and troubleshooting background.
• Experience working within structured change management processes.
• Proactive mindset, willingness to learn, and focus on operational excellence.

Location: Lisbon, Portugal (3 days onsite per week)

Work Schedule: Full-time

Duration: 6-month project with the possibility of extension.
