We are looking for an experienced Senior Network Engineer to join our Agile/Scrum SaaS Solutions Engineering team. This is a hands-on role combining deep network expertise with scripting and automation, supporting a global AWS-based authentication platform used by millions of customers across hotels, residential communities, campuses and other environments.

This is an ideal opportunity for a network engineer who already has programming experience and wants to develop further into software engineering, working alongside experienced software developers.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure, manage and troubleshoot large-scale, multi-vendor networks including MikroTik, Meraki, Nomadix, Ruckus and Aruba.
• Design and support network authentication including RADIUS, AAA, 802.1X, EAP, certificates, captive portals and MAC-based authentication.
• Develop automation and tooling using Python, Bash, RouterOS scripting and vendor APIs to improve provisioning, configuration and device management.
• Investigate complex network and authentication issues using packet captures, logs and platform telemetry.
• Act as the technical expert for network protocols and devices, translating network requirements into software solutions.
• Progressively take on software engineering responsibilities, developing services and APIs that interact with network infrastructure.
• Work with development, product and UX teams to deliver scalable, secure SaaS solutions.
• Support architectural decisions across networking, infrastructure and software.

About You

• 8+ years' hands-on experience designing, deploying and troubleshooting production IP networks.
• Strong knowledge of routing, switching, VLANs, NAT, firewalls, DHCP, DNS, VPNs and QoS, with the ability to troubleshoot across Layers 2–7.
• Strong practical experience with RADIUS, AAA, 802.1X, EAP and certificate-based authentication.
• Experience managing large, multi-site fleets of network devices across multiple vendors.
• Strong scripting/programming skills, particularly Python, Bash, RouterOS scripting and REST APIs.
• Strong Linux knowledge and confidence working in CLI environments.
• Experience with AWS, RESTful APIs and containerised services would be advantageous.
• A genuine interest in developing further into software engineering and automation.
