Senior Network Products Engineer - Data Center

Context

A leading global insurance group’s Operations division, through its Network Product Department, has launched a One Network Program to drive digital transformation, improve user connectivity experience, and reduce cyber risks. Within the Network Product Department, the Data Center foundation product line manages the group’s Data Center and infrastructure, including routers, switches, Internet access, data center interconnection backbone, and DWDM. Data Center foundation engineers design, engineer, deliver, and support these products and services, which are key contributors to the One Network program initiative.

Missions

• Define, promote, and ensure delivery of sustainable, robust, and secure network solutions.
• Collaborate with Group Security, CTO, and the One Network Program to propose cost-effective solutions that add business value and support corporate and line-of-business strategies.
• Contribute to and support medium- to long-term product evolution and continuous product improvement.
• Lead advisory, selection, design, secure build, and integration activities for products within scope.
• Drive change implementation aligned with network product evolution objectives.
• Communicate complex architectural concepts and strategies clearly to senior managers and IT teams.
• Ensure Quality of Service (QoS) delivery for network solutions and provide support.
• Provide high-level expertise on products and services.

Expertise

• Lead large architecture, standardization, and transformation initiatives.
• Participate in architecture definition and integration based on current standard solutions (ACI, NSX-T).
• Participate in solution deployment.
• Contribute to defining the operating model.
• Manage Data Center environments with Cisco ACI and VMware NSX-T.
• Expertise in network security products, SASE, segmentation technologies, identity services, voice, Wi-Fi, SD-WAN, LAN wired, WAN, MPLS.
• Network automation expertise with Terraform, Ansible, and Python.
• Over 8 years of experience in the network domain within international and matrix organizations.
• Deep understanding of current network and infrastructure challenges and trends, especially at infrastructure and technical levels.
• Skilled in documentation and retro-documentation of existing infrastructure.
• Ability to combine and analyze business and technical requirements from critical stakeholders.
• Provide support for Priority 1 and Priority 2 Data Center incidents and/or lead problem management.

Working Conditions

• English-speaking environment mandatory.

1. +8 years’ of expertise in Network Domain in an international and Matrix organization
2. Expertise in managing Data Center with Cisco ACI and VMWARE NSX-T
3. Expertise in Network Security products, SASE, Segmentation technologies and identity services, voice, wifi, SDWAN, LAN wired, WAN, MPLS
4. Must have Network Automation expertise (Terraform, ansible, Python)
5. Expertise in driving large architecture, standardization & transformation initiatives
6. Expertise in today’s Network and infrastructure challenges and trends, mostly at Infrastructure and Technical levels
7. Expertise in documentation and retrodocumentation of the current infrastructure
8. Ability to combine and analyze business and technical requirements from critical constituents
9. Expertise in support for P1, P2 support for Data Center incident and/or lead for problem management
10. English environment mandatory
11. Strong leadership and communication skills to discuss with senior managers and IT, explaining complicated architectural concepts clearly
