What You Will Do

• Engineer and operate scalable monitoring and observability platforms for Ensonos Hybrid Cloud clients using BMC TrueSight, BMC Helix, Entuity, and VMware Aria.
• Plan and execute the strategic roadmap for observability and monitoring tools, ensuring alignment with business and client requirements.
• Define monitoring best practices, including proactive alerting, anomaly detection, and performance analytics.
• Operate and optimize end-to-end monitoring solutions for real-time visibility into networks, distributed systems, and applications.
• Establish automated alerting thresholds based on Service Level Objectives (SLO) and Service Level Agreements (SLA).
• Establish monitoring audit standards for conformance and compliance across standard and custom monitors.
• Act as the point of escalation for day-to-day monitoring-related incidents.
• Automate monitoring configurations and telemetry collection using scripting and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Ansible and Terraform.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in monitoring and observability for on-premises LUW (Linux, Unix, Windows) environments.
• 7+ years of hands-on experience with ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow and Remedy, and monitoring tools such as Dynatrace and Splunk on distributed platforms.
• Experience with Event Management and Major Incident Management (MIM).
• Experience with automated agent deployments and scripting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for diagnosing complex issues.
• Experience in reducing alert fatigue and improving monitoring experience.
• Effective communication and leadership skills with a metric-driven approach and data analysis skills.
• Ability to think holistically about processes that impact business engagement and continually refine processes.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while managing priorities effectively.
• Bachelors degree in a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in an Information Technology-related field.
• Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Experience with Kubernetes deployment and monitoring.
• Advanced ITIL knowledge, including ITIL v3 and v4 certification or training.
• Experience with AI/ML integration into ITSM practices.
