Senior Odoo Developer (AI-Assisted Development)

DawaTech is a pharmaceutical technology company specialized in pharmacy ERP management solutions. We are looking for a motivated Senior Odoo Developer to join our in-house development team. You will build, customize, and maintain Odoo modules that power pharmacies across our client base. We work with AI coding tools every day, so we’re looking for a developer who already uses Claude (or similar AI assistants) as a natural part of their workflow and knows how to use it well: to move faster while still writing clean, reviewed, production-ready code.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop, customize, and maintain Odoo modules (Python, XML, QWeb, OWL/JavaScript).
• Extend core modules such as Sales, Purchase, Inventory, Accounting, and Point of Sale to fit pharmacy business needs.
• Build and maintain integrations with third-party systems and APIs.
• Investigate and fix bugs and performance issues reported by the support team and clients.
• Write and optimize PostgreSQL queries, and work with the Odoo ORM efficiently.
• Use Claude and other AI tools for coding, debugging, refactoring, code review, and documentation, while validating and testing all AI-generated code.
• Participate in module upgrades and migrations between Odoo versions.
• Write clear technical documentation for the modules you build.
• Collaborate closely with the support, implementation, and QA teams.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of hands-on experience in Odoo development.
• Strong knowledge of Python and the Odoo framework (models, views, security, ORM, wizards, reports).
• Good knowledge of PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with JavaScript and Odoo’s web framework (OWL) is a plus.
• Practical experience using Claude (Claude Code, or Claude in the chat app) or similar AI tools in day-to-day development, with an understanding of their strengths and limits.
• Experience with Git and version control workflows.
• Basic understanding of business processes: Sales, Purchase, Inventory, Accounting, and POS.
• Basic Linux server knowledge is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills in Arabic and English.
• Ability to learn fast and work independently.

Nice to Have

• Experience in the healthcare or pharmacy sector.
• Experience with Odoo version migrations.
• Experience building REST APIs or integrating with government or regulatory systems.
• Odoo certification.
