Senior Operations and Engineering Manager

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead daily waste collection and fleet operations, including REL, hooklift, OTC, waste collection vehicles and equipment.
• Plan and optimise fleet scheduling, vehicle deployment, routes and manpower resources to meet operational requirements.
• Oversee fleet, equipment and engineering maintenance to ensure reliability, safety and minimum downtime.
• Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance programmes for vehicles, REL, hooklift systems, OTC and other equipment.
• Develop and execute engineering projects to improve waste processing capabilities, fleet reliability, equipment performance, operational efficiency and cost effectiveness.
• Monitor fleet utilisation, vehicle availability, productivity, fuel consumption and operational costs.
• Ensure compliance with relevant Singapore safety, environmental, regulatory and operational requirements.
• Monitor operational KPIs and implement corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage drivers, operators, contractors and service providers effectively.
• Coordinate vehicle servicing, inspections, repairs and breakdown recovery.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, work processes, risk controls and operational standards.
• Lead and develop operations and engineering teams to achieve safety, productivity and service excellence.
• Provide management with regular operational, fleet, engineering and performance reports and recommendations.
• Other ad-hoc duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Diploma and/or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, another relevant engineering discipline, Project Management, or an equivalent qualification will be an advantage.
• Professional certifications in environmental management, waste management, occupational safety, or sustainability would be an advantage.
• Minimum 3 year of relevant working experience in Waste Management
• Professional certifications in environmental management, waste management, occupational safety, or sustainability would be an advantage.
• Knowledge of environmental, health and safety requirements.
• Strong communication, analytical, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work effectively within a collaborative, multi-disciplinary project environment.
• Good stakeholder coordination and interpersonal skills.
