Senior Operations Coordinator (Ocean Freight)

CSA Global Logistics is seeking an experienced Senior Operations Coordinator to join our Miami team. The successful candidate will be instrumental in executing seamless freight-forwarding and supply-chain operations for commodity flows across diverse global markets.

This role involves planning, booking and controlling multimodal shipments, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and cost-effectiveness. You will be a key contributor to maintaining high service standards and optimizing logistics processes within our dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Shipment Execution & Monitoring

• Plan and execute multimodal shipments (Ocean freight preferred- multi is a plus) ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
• Monitor shipment progress, proactively identifying and resolving potential delays or issues.
• Coordinate with carriers, port operators, and customs brokers to facilitate smooth operations.
• Manage all necessary shipping documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.

Carrier & Partner Management

• Maintain strong relationships with a network of carriers and logistics partners.
• Evaluate carrier performance and negotiate service agreements to optimize costs and service levels.
• Ensure adherence to service level agreements and operational standards.

Customer & Stakeholder Communication

• Provide regular and transparent updates to clients regarding shipment status and potential disruptions.
• Address client inquiries and resolve operational issues promptly and professionally.
• Collaborate with internal sales, trading, and finance teams to ensure aligned operational execution.

System & Process Optimisation

• Utilise the Cargoo TMS and MS Dynamics ERP for efficient operational management and data entry.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the development of best practices.
• Ensure all operational activities comply with international shipping regulations and company policies.

Candidate Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Education requirement can be replaced with 4-5 years of relevant industry experience
• Professional certifications in freight forwarding or logistics are a distinct advantage.
• Strong Ocean freight forwarding experience preferred
