Senior Operations Manager - Plainfield

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Operations Manager - Plainfield to join the team of a leader in the Consumer Technology space.

This role will oversee day-to-day operations within a high-volume production environment, with responsibility for planning, execution, and team leadership across multiple workstreams. The ideal candidate will drive operational performance, strengthen quality and cost discipline, and partner closely with senior leaders to keep production running efficiently. This position also requires a hands-on leader who can improve processes, support continuous improvement, and develop front-line managers and team members.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $100,000 – $120,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple reconditioning lines and plan production for full shifts
• Manage production metrics, costs, and quality in the general manager's absence
• Identify bottlenecks, conduct root cause analysis, and develop action plans
• Conduct weekly performance reviews with senior leadership
• Lead daily management huddles, setting tone and priorities
• Support development plans for reconditioning leads and managers
• Execute continuous improvement projects and training initiatives

Qualifications

• Open to relocation regionally or nationwide
• Experience managing a team of more than 50 associates
• 8+ years of management experience in automotive or lean manufacturing
• Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on root cause analysis
• Excellent communication skills; fluency in English required
• Valid unrestricted driver's license with a clean record
• Physical ability to lift up to 60 lbs and stand for extended periods
