Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Oracle DBA / Developer with 5+ years of hands-on experience in Oracle database administration, performance tuning, and production support. The candidate should have strong expertise in Oracle DBA activities, performance optimization, and Linux/Unix environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and administer Oracle databases in development, test, and production environments.
• Perform Oracle database installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, backup, and recovery.
• Monitor database health, availability, performance, and capacity.
• Perform SQL and database performance tuning, including query optimization, indexing, execution plans, and database parameters.
• Troubleshoot database performance issues, locking, blocking, deadlocks, and connectivity issues.
• Handle RMAN backup and recovery and ensure database backup integrity.
• Work on database security, user management, roles, privileges, and access controls.
• Support database migrations, upgrades, and production deployments.
• Work closely with application and development teams to identify and resolve database-related issues.
• Write and optimize SQL/PLSQL queries and stored procedures where required.
• Perform database monitoring, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
• Automate routine DBA activities using scripting wherever possible.

Mandatory Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on Oracle DBA experience
• Strong experience in Oracle Database Administration
• Excellent knowledge of Oracle Performance Tuning
• Strong expertise in SQL and PL/SQL
• Strong experience in Linux/Unix environments this is highly preferred
• Experience with RMAN Backup & Recovery
• Good understanding of Oracle database architecture
• Experience in database troubleshooting and production support
• Knowledge of database monitoring and performance analysis
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
