Senior OT Network Design Engineer

Akkodis is seeking for a Senior OT Network Design Engineer in San Antonio, TX/Findlay, OH (Preferred).

• Locations: Findlay, OH; San Antonio, TX; Denver, CO; Pittsburgh, PA
• Work Schedule: 4 days onsite / 1 day remote
• Contract: 12 months with possible extension

Pay Range: $52- $62 per hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Position Summary

We are looking for a Senior OT Network Engineer to design, implement, secure, troubleshoot, and optimize Operational Technology (OT) and enterprise network environments across complex LAN/WAN infrastructures.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement network solutions and improve network resilience.
• Establish, document, and maintain network standards.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot outages and connectivity issues.
• Perform network fault investigations across LAN and WAN environments.
• Configure and manage routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and network segmentation.
• Implement and maintain network security policies and access controls.
• Analyze network traffic and optimize network performance.
• Collaborate with network architects on network optimization initiatives.

Required Skills

• Strong OT/Industrial Networking experience.
• Advanced knowledge of BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and SD-WAN.
• Experience with SolarWinds and Wireshark.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, subnets, VLANs, and routing.
• Hands-on experience with switches, routers, firewalls, and VPNs.
• Knowledge of network segmentation and IDS/IPS.
• Strong network troubleshooting and traffic analysis skills.
• Experience with Windows security, patch management, firewall configuration, and access control.
